HISTORY

ARDICOM Digital Communications Inc. was formed by Arctic Co-operatives Ltd. (Arctic Co-ops), Northern Aboriginal Services Company (NASCo) and Northwestel Inc., in July 1996. By virtue of its ownership, ARDICOM is a fully northern- and 67% aboriginally-owned business.

The business was formed to meet the needs of Northern governments and businesses to have a fast, reliable and secure wide area data network connecting all 58 communities in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.

ARDICOM has extensive experience rolling out networks of all kinds (MAN, WAN, Private) as well as video conferencing/telepresence and Internet services. Our clients are the largest corporations and Government agencies in the North so we are used to addressing complex needs and demands for quality.

By nature of its ownership, ARDICOM provides fiduciary and social benefits to all Aboriginal, First Nations and Inuit beneficiaries throughout the Yukon, Northwest and Nunavut Territories.
